For Residents
Residents make up a neighborhood. They are the building blocks to launching successsful community initiatives. If you are a resident seeking information about community revitalization, we invite you to participate in the monthly Super Neighborhhood Council meetings. The meetings are held at 6:30 pm on the first Tuesday of each month at Independence Heights Park located at 608 East 35th Street.
For Business Owners
Business members create a viable resource for neighborhoods. They seed economic development, spur financial growth and provide much needed services to residents. If you are a business owner that would like to become involved in our work, we have initiated a Chamber of Commerce specifically to fit the needs of existing and new business enterprises. The Chamber of Commerce meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7 pm. Meetings are held at Empowerment Center at Independence Heights located at 4810 Yale.r
For Volunteers
We are always in need of help to assist us with carrying out our mission. Volunteers are vital to our operations and they help us empower our residents to get involved. If you would like to learn about volunteer opportunities in our neighborhood, please send us an email to info@ihrchouston.org.
